Fresco is a technique of mural painting made upon semi wet lime plaster, that is the reason why this sort of works became one with the wall. The most famous fresco was created by Michelangelo in Rome in the Sistine Chapel.
Now this technique is used very rarely, but more and more famous have become murals. In fact fresco is a sort of mural, because mural appers to be a kind of artwork painted or applied streight on a wall, therefore we may claim that Banksy appers to be XXI century Michelangelo and he may have a very similar popularity like the magnificent artist who worked in the XVI century amidst contemporary citizents. From time to time murals are placed on public facilities (like train stations) or communication constructions like in Cracow (Poland) where one of the roundabouts was painted with mural which presented a very big container of water colour paints, what is significant – this mural is entirely legal and it connects with memories about primary school and being a child. Murals are mostly well-painted with a wonderful technique, maybe that is why a large number of people want to have them in their houses
